Anita DeVille, Service Director
Anita has extensive experience working with infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, school-aged children as well as with children with autism. Anita is a proud mother of two beautiful children. She has an equal love for children and creativity that led her to George Brown where she graduated with honours from the Early Childhood Education program and then onto OCAD (Ontario’s prestigious arts school). In addition to working in daycare settings for over 10 years, Anita is a science presenter with Scientists in the School (the largest science outreach program in Canada). Anita demonstrates a strong foundation in the field of early education and her creative background lends energy and imagination to her work with children. Anita is best described as someone who is highly organized, always calm and at ease.
Luke Carty, Service Coordinator
Luke has experience working with children of all ages. After graduating from the University of Guelph, Luke worked for two years in Tokyo, Japan teaching English to children and adults. He has worked as a Child and Youth Worker at George Hull Centre's Boys House, a residential program for the past four years. He also volunteers at Camp Oochigeas, a residential summer camp for kids with cancer.
The Imagine That team includes only dedicated and skilled professionals who hold degrees or diplomas in Education, Early Childhood Education or Child and Youth Care. They bring a wide array of experience and expertise to the care of children and adolescents.
All Imagine That staff members undergo an extensive interviewing, screening and orientation process and are carefully chosen for their special abilities, skills, personalities and interests.
All members of the Imagine That team:
• Hold a university degree or college diploma
• Have expertise working with infants, children, adolescents and their families
• Have up-to-date First Aid and CPR training
• Have thorough professional background and police checks
• Are covered by professional liability insurance
• Have the ongoing support of our Service Director 24 hours, 7 days a week
